Our story

Built on the belief that every child deserves to feel seen.

Foster Drop started with one family, one wish list, and a car full of boxes. Today we serve foster homes across two states — and we're just getting started.

Why we exist

The gap no one was filling.

Foster children often arrive in a new home with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Foster parents do extraordinary work — but they can't do it alone, and the system doesn't always make it easy to ask for help.

Foster Drop bridges that gap. We make it simple for donors to give directly to a real family's real wish list, and simple for foster homes to receive what they actually need — no bureaucracy, no guesswork.

Child-first

Every decision we make starts with one question: does this help the child?

Trust & safety

We verify every foster home through licensed agencies. Donor information is never shared.

Direct impact

100% of donations purchase wish list items. We cover operations through grants.

Community-powered

Volunteers, donors, and foster families all make this work. We're stronger together.

How it started

One delivery changed everything.

In 2017, our founder Anderson Michel was volunteering at a local foster care agency when he noticed something: families had wish lists, but no reliable way to get those items fulfilled. He loaded his bags with supplies and made the first Foster Drop delivery himself.

Fast Forward almost 10 years later, in 2026 Anderson thought back to that moment he made his first Foster Drop as a high schooler and realized it could be something bigger than just a one time or one place contribution.

Every child is the future and deserves to move forward with dignity. We believe that a simple care package filled with fresh, personal belongings can bring a touch of comfort and stability when it's needed most. But the mission hasn't changed: show up for foster families, every single week.
